About Good Sense

Good Sense was founded in 1998 by Darren Good based on the growing demand for personal protection training from the NHS. Darren has trained extensively in various martial arts techniques and has more than 20 years’ experience and even runs his own martial arts academy in Bradford, Yorkshire.

Good Sense has specialised in self-defence, personal protection and handling violence and aggression courses and has run hundreds of courses nationwide across a variety of industries. Feedback from all customers is exemplary and the company has been growing in terms of numbers and reputation.

Good Sense has a team of professional and experienced trainers, all of which have extensive training experience. All our trainers have undergone an extensive training course to ensure quality and consistency and they are evaluated regularly. As we have a wide variety of trainers we are able to run courses either regionally or nationally.

Unlike other organisations we have never had to sub-contract – so you can be assured of our consistent high quality!

About Darren Good (BSC Hons)

With a wealth of experience in both the private and public sector I utilise a vast range of communication tools to deliver conflict resolution training.

I have a special interest in advanced communication, including interpersonal skills, team conflict and NLP to name but a few. I have developed my own model of communication which is regarded among one of the best models in practice today. Empowering people to avoid conflict and to feel confident in these situations is my area of expertise.

I encourage learning in an open and fun environment using first class delivery techniques resulting in sustainable outcomes. Where break-away training is required I am a black belt in several martial arts and am well qualified to deliver the highest standard of training in the UK.
